Starting out in business is not always as easy as you think it maybe. Not all of us have an idea and make it big quick, some of us will have to work 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Being a stay at home mum of three i always found it hard to go out to work as childcare cost were way out of my price range.
Before my first child was born i had worked many of jobs, admin, sales ,retail, customer support and many more, but once my daughter came along i found it hard to balance both going to work and being a good mum.
So i took the plunge, jumped right in thinking my idea was amazing and was going to make me money quick! I was wrong, it took me many of months working through the night as well as having to look after my three girls and plenty of blood sweat and tears before i even got my website up (that was the easy part). Then came the hard part where do i start? I had my business model, i had my business plan, i had my website, but no clients!
I took to social media and relied on old client contacts to get me started (it worked), Things slowly started to look, up things started to grow, before i knew it i was fully booked with clients.
Nowadays i don't need to advertise as much because my client list is healthy, but that's not to say its always like that. Sometimes it's hard to get clients and other times you can have too many. What i am trying to say is that even though i am always busy it's only because it put in the hard work.
Now i don't think of my job as making money, i have learnt over the years that having a good relationship with clients and watching them strive because i helped, is worth so much more than money and the fact that because they let me help them i get to spend quality time with my girls which is priceless.
